You Are What You Eat

Have you ever wondered what this saying means?

No you won’t turn into a carrot!

This saying goes back to 1826, Anthelme Brillat-Samarinda wrote “ Tell me what you eat and I’ll tell you what you are.” The saying has been re hashed throughout the years. Putting it simply, the food you eat, effects your health both mentally and physically.

We have been refining our diet over the past 17 years and here are a few things we have found out:

•When you fuel your body with fresh whole foods you crowd out the craving for unhealthy snacks

•The health aisle in the supermarket, isn’t always healthy, read the labels.

•There are many alternatives to refined sugar, we use raw honey or maple syrup

•Food from a lab, isn’t food

•Supplement with whole food powders not pills

•Celery juice clears brain fog

•Don’t hide vegetables in your kids dinner, educate them as to why they are eating fresh food, they will totally get it

•Herbal teas can cure cold, flu’s and pretty much everything!

•Never, ever use canola oil

•Coconut water is a life saver and has been used intravenously to heal people

•Papaya seeds rid your body of parasites and are a great all round addition to your diet

•Wild blueberries have the highest proportion of antioxidants on the planet

So let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.

Eat real food and feel fabulous!
