DIET

I feel the need to discuss DIET!

As I take a scroll through social media I notice more and more people shouting about what YOU should eat.

Just recently I read an article about spirulina being toxic and this is a supplement that I have taken for years.
I have read many articles on the contrary. I get this can be confusing. There is science that proves both sides of the story to be true.

This is true for different diets too, @carnivoremd2.0 believes eating raw liver and steak for breakfast will give you optimal health. @fullyrawkristina has been thriving on a raw vegan diet for over 15 years.
@tylertolmantt believes in fasting for disease prevention, @medicalmedium is all about celery juice and food as medicine.

And guess what?
There is science to prove them all right, they all look healthy and are thriving with their chosen way of life.
People have healed with the recommendations from all of these people.

So what are you supposed to do?
Who should you take advice from?

Just for a moment, tune into YOU.
Ask yourself, ‘What do I need today?’
So many people put their health and wellbeing into someone else’s hands.
YOU have the answers.
How about to eat what your body needs right now (not chips and chocolate of course).
So many people place themselves into a well defined box, I am.........(vegan, Carnivore, Paleo, keto).
What if you didn’t define yourself as anything, you just ate to feed your bodies needs.

There is one strong point that all these influential people have in common, and if you want a take home from this post it would be, EAT WHOLE FOODS! Be conscious of where your food comes from, meet the farmers, choose organic, shop at your local farmers markets.
Steer clear of packaged foods, preservatives, fake foods, deep fried foods and toxic oils.

Experiment on yourself and see how you feel, document your mood, digestion, vitality, stamina, hormones, cognition, sleep quality, joy factor, skin, etc.
Your body is constantly giving you signs to help you stay at an optimal level of health.

If you follow the whole food diet you should thrive.

If you need support I’m here,

Big love x

Ps. Listen to your children, even if they have been born into a vegan or carnivore family they may be needing something different. Kids aren’t as attached to food titles as adults are, so if their body is craving something different to what you are dishing up, definitely look into their request.
